These images reflect the notion of an ambiguous body. The ability for an individual to renegotiate the
heteronormative requirements of the body allows for the Queer body to take on many various forms.
These bodies that Queer the norm are viewed as a threat to heteronormative ideologies, leaving these
individuals to be perceived with apprehension and caution.
Forms of Friction looks into the identity politics of the Queer body. The notion of Queer politics ssociated with the Post Human body allows for insight into the Queer body in a more approachable way. The employment of the Post Human form allows for the viewer to feel comfortable with the body presented to them, a body of fiction.
This open dialogue allows the viewer to both watch, and accept the information visually presented to them – indirectly offering a medium wherein Queer bodies are accepted.
